Being able to see properly increases the quality of your life. Some people are not lucky enough to see anything, so those who can see should do everything in their power to boost their eye strength. There are actually some pretty easy exercises that can get the job done. You can tell whether they are working or not by keeping regular appointments with your optometrist.
The Top 5 Eye-Strength-Boosting Exercises
Boosting the strength of your eyes doesn’t have to mean wearing glasses or contacts. Try out some of these exercises for the next few weeks and see clearer and sharper images as a result:
- Focusing Fun
This one is simple. Pick an object (such as your thumb) and stare at it for a few seconds. Once your eyes are in focus, pull the object away from you at arm’s length. Refocus and bring the object back to the starting position. Do this a few times and strengthen your eyes in the process.
- Near and Far
Take it a step further with this one. Instead of using something within arm’s distance, try focusing your eyes on something across the room. Pick another object that is close by and go back and forth between the two for a few minutes. This exercise will help improve your eyesight quickly and you don’t even have to get up to do it.
- The Pressure Is On
Eyes need to be caressed sometimes too. For this exercise, gently press two of your fingers into your eyelids for three to five seconds. Doing so will not only relieve pressure but will also help you focus better when you’re done.
- Massage
Applying pressure to your eyes may help, but the eye area should not be neglected in the process. Try massaging your eyes, temples, brow, and forehead for extra relief. It will not only help you to see better but it can also get rid of headaches and make you feel less stressed out as well.
- Close Up Shop
This exercise requires you to shut your eyes for a moment. Blinking rapidly works great and closing your peepers for a few moments is even better. This is especially helpful when you have been awake for a long time or staring at a computer screen all day.
*NOTE: If these exercises don’t work to improve your eyesight, be sure to make an appointment with your optometrist as soon as possible.
